Pupil Premium at Ruskin Junior School
Pupil Premium is a government grant provided to schools to help raise the attainment of pupils who are eligible for additional support. The funding is allocated directly to the school, where it is used strategically to improve educational outcomes and provide equal access to learning opportunities.

At Ruskin Junior School, we are committed to ensuring that every children has access to a high-quality, inclusive curriculum. Our curriculum is designed to broaden pupils' experiences, develop their cultural capital, and enable them to acquire a wide range of knowledge and skills.
Children in receipt of Pupil Premium funding are fully included in all aspects of school life. They participate in sports teams, take on leadership roles such as School Council representatives, perform assemblies and concerts, attend residential trips, and enjoy the same enriching opportunities as their peers.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, 117 pupils at Ruskin Junior School are eligible for Pupil Premium funding. We have identified a range of evidence-based strategies to further enrich the learning experiences and outcomes of these pupils. The impact of our Pupil Premium provision is reviewed regularly throughout the school year and reported to governors to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
