Year 2 Transition Information
Welcome to the Ruskin Junior School website and this page which has been set up specifically to welcome those children in Year 2 who will be joining us from September 2020!
We know that this year has been more different for everyone than we could ever have imagined. We are also aware that the transition from Year 2 to Year 3 will be totally different for you than any children have experienced before.
There is lots of information that we would like to share with you and your parents - so we have included the documents here on this page. Some of our forms will also be sent to your parents for them to complete and return to us. There may be Zoom calls/telephone calls and other ways that your new teacher will be in contact. This will all be confirmed to you via your parents in due course.
We know that starting a new school can be quite scary, one of the ways we hope to help with this is by creating a virtual tour of our school! This has been done with some of our members of staff letting you know which areas are which. You can access this tour at the following link:
If you would like to add the sound and narration then you need to click on the settings button - detailed here.
We have now created links to a virtual tour showing the route into school and to the classrooms from September 2020:
Longleat Class - https://poly.google.com/view/9jdIqdbqxs9
Stonehenge Class - https://poly.google.com/view/52CvxqvruuS
Avebury Class - https://poly.google.com/view/8RJKkwhMs-z
Mr Beadnell has created a powerpoint to welcome you as we are unable to do our usual talk and tour. You can find the powerpoint here:
We are so looking forward to meeting you all properly in September 2020 - we just know that you'll love Ruskin and enjoy your time with us!
With best wishes to you all - keep safe and well.
